Her performance in Amma was applauded giving her popularity in the television industry. Kanchan Awasthi also did a couple of movies as well, which includes Jai Jawaan Jai Kisaan (in the year 2015), Chapekar Brothers (in the year 2016), Main Khudiram Bose Hun (in the year 2018) and Bhootwali Love Story ( in the year 2019) playing the ghost named Madhubala.
