Mandira Bedi married Raj Kaushal on 14 February 1999. On 27 January 2011 couple is expecting their first child. Mandira Bedi gave birth to a boy named Vir on 19 June 2011 at the Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai. In the year 2013, Mandira and her husband had planned for adopting a girl (It was a great idea, it gave an orphan a good life and career). On 28 July 2020, they adopted a 4-year-old child and named her Tara Bedi Kaushal.

Mandira made her debut in the popular romantic Indian movie titled ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ in the year 1995. After that, she featured in various famous Bollywood films including Shaadi Ka Laddoo (2004), The Tashkent Files (2019), and Dus Kahaniyaan (2007). Mandira made her Tamil debut in Manmadhan (2004) in which she played the role of a psychiatrist. She made her Telugu debut with Saaho (2019) in which she portrayed the character of Kalki. She made her Malayalam debut with the movie named Ezham Mudra (2021).

In the year 1994, she was offered a job at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Agency, and in the same year, when she was approached to portray the titular character in the first Indian tv daily soap ‘Shanti’ on Tv Channel named Doordarshan. In the year 2016, in an interview with a media house, Mandira Bedi said that the serial titled ‘Shanti’ made her a strong woman. She explained, Shanti was a strong woman who stood for various things.
