Film
While in school in Mumbai, Suchitra Pillai was very much passionate about theatre but she graduated in electronic engineering. She left for London soon after, where she became involved in a children’s theatre. She began acting in movies in the year 1993 when she was chosen for her first role in the French film Le Prix dune femme as well as a role in the English film named Guru in Seven.
Pillai then returned to Mumbai and was offered the job as a veejay. She was first featured in a music video by Apache Indian and then in Bally Sagoo’s “Dil cheez hai kya” video. She has also forayed into tv with shows like Simply South, Beintehaa, Red Alert, Hip-H Hip Hurray, Rishta.com, and Cabaret Cabaret. She features in the year 2016 Hollywood film named The Other Side of the Door and in the year 2017 indie film The Valley, for which she won the Best Actress award at both The Long Island International Film Festival and The Milan International Filmmakers Festival in the year 2017

She began her music career from debut as a singer with her first song in the album titled Mere Liye in the year 2001 after that, she sang a few other songs.

In the year 2007, she gives her first dub-over role in the Hindi version of the American movie, Lives Free or Die Hard- Maggie Q’s role of Mah Linh. Since then she has dubbed many other characters in Hindi; the parts of Angelina Jolie (Beowulf), as Hela for Cate Blanchett in the Hindi version of Thor: Ragnarok, Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Dark Knight), and most recently in the year 2020 Netflix original October Faction as Deloris Allen.
