Career: Mahie Gill Bio
Mahi Gill got her first job in Punjabi-based Bollywood film Hawayein. She also worked in theatre along with some Punjabi movies. Anurag first saw her at a party and immediately finalized her to play the role of Paro in the film Dev D. She acted in Ram Gopal Varma’s Not a Love Story which was based on the 2008 Neeraj Grover murder case.
She also worked in Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster with Jimmie Shergill and Randeep hudda. which was released on 30 September 2011. The film earned her a nomination at the Filmfare Awards for Best Actress Gill, Which appeared in Paan Singh Tomar with Irrfan Khan. This is the true story of an athlete who became a Dacoit. In this, she played the role of the title character’s wife.
Mahie Gill made her debut with Apoorva Lakhia’s film Toofan, also shot with the Hindi version Zanjeer. She made his first item number in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s film Bullet Raja.
